Continue...

After breafast, my dad took my brother to English class. My mom and I went to market and bought food for this sunday and next week.

Our lunch was so simple: Mussel congee but my mom took nearly an hour to cook it. Uhm, mussel congee needs patience and carefulness. After that, we took a rest and started afternoon at 14 or 15 o'clock. Dinner started at 18 or 18h15 (I'm not sure!)

Dinner: Rice, meat ball in tomato sauce, katuk soup with tilapia, cucumber...

... Fried veal with onion, tomato, spring onion, celery; soy sauce with green chilli.
My mom and dad drank Da Lat red wine.

** After dinner, my mom and I watched movie names "Bottle shock" - a movie about wine ^^! Then, I wrote blog!!

An ordianry Sunday...!!

My family starts a Sunday with "special breakfast" - we go out and eat together because we can't do it on the other days of week. On this Sunday, we went to "Sonata" coffee shop whose address is 77A Le Dai Hanh st. They serve breakfast and drink. This coffee shop is so elegant and suitable for family. In this Sunday morning, my mom ordered Dry Kuyteav - "Hủ tiếu khô" in Vietnamese; my dad chose Fried crab canna noodle....

My dish: Mixed fried Kuyteav which includes kuyteav, carrot, char siu (barbecued pork), cuttle, pork heart, onion, shrimp, cauliflower, spring onion, sprouts, some cilantro stems and 3 cucumber slices.

My brother's dish: Minced beef congee (Congee includes rice and green bean)

My dad and I ordered coffee with extra milk.

My brother had milk Lipton tea (and a slice of orange)
My mom chose honey orange juice.

When Vietnamese meets American...

"XEO" cake, DONUT and... my friend's hand (>_<)
Actually, in this afternoon, I "arranged a meeting" between DONUT and "XÈO" cake ^^!
I really wanted to eat these things and I decided to ask my friend come with me. She thought I was odd cause I rarely act like this (I texted, phoned and entreated like I nearly die of hunger)
I just can say one thing that these things are so delicious! You should try them (If you're Vietnamese, eat DONUT, please^^!!; If you're not, "XÈO" cake is for you)

** For someone who has never tried "XÈO" before:
It's a Vietnamese savoury pancake. Each region has its own kind of "xeo" cake but basically, it's made out of rice flour, water, coconut milk and turmeric powder (that's why "xeo" is yellow!), stuffed with slivers of fatty pork, shrimp and bean sprouts and then pan fried (in Nha Trang we usually use shrimp and cuttle - Nha Trang is a coastal city!). "Xeo" is served with many kinds of leaves (I can't name them all and it depends on each region) and a special sauce which consists of Vietnamese fish sauce, garlic, fresh chilli, sugar and lemon (optional).

The name bánh xèo is derived from the loud sizzling sound - so you can call "sizzling" cake!

Uhm... love it and Donut!!!

I eat "XEO" cake at 10 Huynh Thuc Khang St. - Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa. It's a very tidy, clean food-stall; the owner is very kind and friendly. Price: 10.000VNĐ/dish (each dish has 5 "XEO" cakes). They serve drink, too and especially there are a sink and soap! (Ordinary food-stalls don't)

Breakfast at Tiffany's....

Fancy blue magic from Tiffany & Co -
"The best place in the world, where nothing bad can take place."

When I heard about this movie for the first time, I thought Tiffany was an expensive restaurant!! So silly! But finally, I know what it is. It's still expensive (at least for me). It's glamorous, gorgeous and elegant and of course, it's not a restaurant. It's said that "Every girls dream…that special blue box from Tiffany & Co"... uhm, I think it's true cause me too.

Tiffany & Co is an American jewelry and silverware company founded by Charles Lewis Tiffany and Teddy Young in New York city in 1837.

Tiffany & Co is very famous for engagement and wedding.

Diamonds are a girl's best friend!! ...

So TIFFANY & CO, too!
